Is a Bigger Heater or AC Better?
Not necessarily. When it comes to HVAC equipment, bigger is not always better. A larger piece of equipment uses more electricity, is more expensive, and requires more upkeep. It is important to have a properly sized unit installed to provide you the ideal level of comfort and energy efficiency. Our team can help you choose the system that is the right size for your space.
Do You Offer Financing for New Systems?
If you are interested in upgrading to a new system to save money and improve energy efficiency in your home, we can certainly help. At Lewis Air Services, we offer a number of financing options, including 0% APR financing for qualifying customers. We're here to find ways to help you save.
What Are the Benefits of a Programmable Thermostat?
A programmable thermostat can be programmed to the times you leave and come home or when your system will not be in use. This means your heater or AC can be turned off when you don’t need it to help you save on your monthly energy bill. You can also come home to the perfect temperature without having to wait for it to cool down or warm up.
Why Is My HVAC System So Noisy?
Older systems, such as those installed over 10-15 years ago, were not built with the highest quality materials. This means that when they run, their operation is incredibly noisy. Newer systems, such as Trane heaters and air conditioners are not as noisy because they are built with quality materials and sound insulators to reduce noise.
Of course, it’s also possible that your unit is malfunctioning and needs to be repaired. If a noise is concerning you, we encourage you to reach out to us and request a quick inspection. Our technicians are happy to assess the unit and determine whether there is a problem with it.
What Should I Do When I Go on Vacation?
If you are going on vacation and want to avoid wasting money on your energy bills, we can help. The most common setting is 85 degrees in the summer and 60 in the winter if you are going away for more than a few days.
